Contractor Terms
Last updated: 8 March 2026
These terms apply to tradespeople registered on the Quotcha platform. They are in addition to the general Quotcha Terms of Use.
1. Acceptance
By registering as a contractor on Quotcha, you agree to these Contractor Terms in addition to the general Quotcha Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not register or accept leads.
2. Contractor Obligations
As a registered contractor, you agree to:
- Hold and maintain all licences, permits, and insurance required by law for your trade and jurisdiction.
- Provide accurate business details, ABN, licence number, and insurance documentation.
- Respond to leads in a timely and professional manner.
- Pay applicable lead fees as agreed upon accepting a lead.
- Contact homeowners within 24 hours of receiving their details after payment.
- Not circumvent the platform to avoid lead fees (e.g., soliciting homeowner details through other channels after receiving a lead notification).
- Treat homeowners professionally and comply with Australian Consumer Law and your trade's code of conduct.
3. Lead Fees & Payments
Quotcha charges contractors a lead fee for accepted leads. The fee structure, including amounts and any volume tiers, is presented to you at the point of accepting a lead and may be updated from time to time on notice.
Lead fees are non-refundable once homeowner contact details have been provided, except where required by Australian Consumer Law. Lead fees are for the introduction only and do not guarantee that the homeowner will proceed with the work.
Quotcha may generate estimates on your behalf based on the scope of work and pricing you provide. These estimates are proposals only and do not constitute a binding contract until both you and the homeowner independently agree to terms.
4. Introduction Service Only
Quotcha is an introduction platform. We are not a party to, and accept no liability for, any contract, agreement, or arrangement made between you and a homeowner. Any agreement for the performance of trade works is solely between you and the homeowner.
Homeowner approval of an estimate via our platform indicates interest in proceeding. It does not create a contract with Quotcha — any resulting contract is between you and the homeowner directly.
5. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your contractor account for:
- Providing false licence or insurance details.
- Failing to pay lead fees.
- Failing to respond to leads or contact homeowners as agreed.
- Engaging in unprofessional conduct or breaching your obligations under these Terms.
- Receiving substantiated complaints from homeowners about workmanship, conduct, or pricing.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Contractor Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you via email or SMS to the contact details on file. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the Terms were most recently revised. Continued use of the contractor platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
